Might not be the nicest hotel, but room is clean and bed comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Great location

Ok for a cheap hotel, but not cheap! Very concerning policy of taking a photocopy of ID document (driving licence / passport). Not aware of any reason why a hotel even needs to see such for UK citizens (never been asked anywhere else) but see absolutely no reason for a copy to be taken. Was told no room key without copy of ID - beware....

Outstanding! Whilst in Hull visiting my daughter I lost my credit cards. The owners of The Gilmore Hotel unlike the nearby hotels could not have been more lovely. It is not everyday one meets such trust and kindness. My wife had to drive up from Lincolnshire. The hosts/ manager went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. My wife eventually arrives and we were given a beautiful, modern clean A 1 room comparably favourably with any of the best I ve ever stayed in. As a 60 year old guy , without credit cards this couple has restored my faith in the goodness of human nature. Anytime I m in Hull I will stay here and I can totally recommend them 200%. Thankyou again and Godbless you.

The receptionist Savannah was very lovely and polite, our room was amazing and so big, the bed was extremely comfortable with nice clean sheets. While here I took full advantage of the jacuzzi bath which again was amazing, the bathroom was lovely and clean with nice clean towels. I couldn't of asked for a better room, you are right in the town close to everything you need - bonus arena, train station, pubs and bars and plenty of places to eat. Would most definitely stay here again.

Great location, 2 minutes walk to the train station, and about 15 minutes walk to the Marina. There are pubs close by, cafes and shops. If you want any laundry done, you will need to travel for it. The rooms are comfortable, the bathroom I had in my room, was very out dated, but everything worked fine. I think double glazed windows would block a lot of the traffic noise. Great staff that will help in any way if you need it, I quite enjoyed my stay there.

It's location was perfect although there is no parking outside the hotel the train station car park is about 200 yards away and costs £5 for 24 hours. For a budget hotel you couldn't go wrong, the staff were helpful and friendly, it was clean and tidy. Our room was on the 3rd floor with plenty of room and an ample bathroom which had a shower and toilet. The bed was comfertable. The only minor spoiler was that the Hospital was just down the road so we had plenty of ambulances going past but as our room was on the front and at the other end so they didn't really bother us but you are in the centre of a city. Otherwise I would recommend staying here, we didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Pleasantly surprised with the room, wasn't expecting much but got a room with a seating area and a separate bedroom both with large tvs in. Also a corner jacuzzi bath (don't know if it worked as didn't try it). We did have an issue with the room as the door card entry was constantly beeping and had to be changed, the girl on the reception strangely offered us a full refund if we wanted to check out and find somewhere else to stay before they had even tried to fix the problem. We went out and by time we returned the issue had been resolved. Value for money and great location.
